   With an elevation of 5,794 ft., Montrose has all four seasons, with winter being quite mild.  The summers bring fabulous green rolling hills, and weekly "evening on the front porch" style community get-togethers in Historic Downtown Montrose, featuring strolling musicians, free watermelon, hot dogs, face-painting, puppeteers, and much, much more! Farmers Market twice a week, Sweet Corn Festival every August, and again, that hometown feeling we all crave. The fall is spectacular, with mild temperatures of 70 degrees that can go into November.
